Munich - Zillertal Alps - Venice
May/June 2011
The idea is crazy, hilarious ...: The artists Thomas Huber and Wolfgang Aichner will drag a self-made boat (or is it a sculpture) over the Alps. The aim is to reach the most important art event of the world: la Biennale di Venezia. This expedition will take probably three weeks, and will start on May 25 in Munich. They obviously won't make it right in time for the opening, and that is when the art crowd gathers. The artists hope to reach Venice - after stops in South Tyrol - on June 23, but they might fail. The chance of failure is an important part of the concept.
This blog will be active from May 23 on - two days before the expedition will start. Even though we will feature here as well the logfiles, you will also have the chance to follow the expedition virtually on our website (http://logfiles.passage2011.org/).
Everyone is welcome to share his/hers ideas with us and to comment on the projects or single texts.
